What is Reiki
Energy Healing?

Reiki is a universal life force energy.

Reiki, is a Japanese method aimed at reducing stress, inducing relaxation, and fostering healing. It involves the practice of placing hands on or near the body, with the idea that there is "life force energy" that moves in and around us to keep us healthy & alive. When this energy is depleted, it increases your likelihood to experience illness and stress, while high levels promote happiness and well-being.

what does

Reiki

feel like?

Some benefits my clients experience include:

  • reduced stress

  • improved digestion

  • reduced inflammation

  • improved wellness

  • increased mobility

  • enhanced relaxation

  • deeper sleep

  • greater sense of clarity

A reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Some of my clients have described it as an energy hug, or like feeling held by their mother when they were a small child. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive treatment & experienced while fully clothed.

What happens in a reiki session?

If you have never received a session, we will begin with a brief health history and an explanation on how reiki works and what happens during your session. You can then rest on a massage table, zero gravity chair, or a comfortable recliner. You will never be asked to undress for reiki!

Testimonials

  • Courtney C.

I experienced a reiki session with Heather recently and it was absolutely lovely! The moment I entered her space it was so comfortable and cozy and heather made me feel so welcome. The reiki treatment was fantastic, I felt like I was floating through space and afterwards felt so much lighter and calm. I look forward to my next treatment. 10/10 recommend!

  • Rose T.

Absolutely loved my time with Heather. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed and excited to book again! I can’t recommend booking reflexology and reiki more. You won’t regret it!

  • Kate H.

“Just wanted to send a quick thanks for being awesome with my mom the other day. She’s a scientist and I’ve been trying together to try other healing modalities for a longgg time and she came back yesterday and was like oh wow, that was really nice and “I got to sleep so fast. So thank you sooooo much!”

FAQs

  • Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices.

  • Most of the time a person will feel relaxed and uplifted by a Reiki treatment.

However, sometimes a person will have what is called a healing crisis. As a person’s vibration goes up, toxins that have been stored in the body will be released into the bloodstream to be filtered by the liver and kidneys and removed from the system.

When this happens, sometimes a person can get a headache or stomach ache or feel weak. If this happens, it is a good idea to drink more water, eat lighter meals, and get more rest. The body is cleansing as part of the healing process so this is a good sign.

  • Since Reiki is guided by the Higher Power, the Reiki energy will know the condition of the client or student and adjust appropriately. Reiki can only do good. Many pregnant people have received treatments with great benefit to them and their unborn child. It has also been used during childbirth.
